After leaving school I furthered my education at Hereford agricultural college where I completed an NVQ level 2 in forestry. This was accompanied by a work placement in the forestry industry and was where I learnt many modern and traditional skills. Lots of people don't know that forestry covers not only trees but planting, maintenance and fencing. At 18 my placement finished and I became a self sufficient manager of my own company, where I diversified into domestic gardening, tree pruning and landscaping. At this point I quickly realised that domestic tree work involved more aerial work than ground level work. I decided to go back to college again and took my Tree surgery course which involved aerial rescue and using a chain saw whilst on a rope and harness in a Capony of a tree. So now I regularly look after gardens / privately and commercially. I still enjoy learning new skills and techniques and always open to new ideas.
